What to Expect

What to expect when you

Join Us At Legacy

We'd love to have you join us at Legacy this Sunday! Here are answers to some common questions to help you know what to expect in a typical worship service.

Where & When We Meet

Legacy is a new congregation, and we are currently meeting at the East Grand Forks Senior Center — 538 Rhinehart Dr SE. The worship service begins at 10 AM and lasts about an hour and a half.

The Worship Service

Our worship service about an hour and a half and consists of a call to worship, congregational singing, Scripture reading, prayer, and an expository sermon.

During the service we also incorporate reciting the Apostle's Creed together and an extended time of prayer with a different focus each Sunday.

Our time in singing together is purposefully simple to keep the priority on the voices of the congregation. On a typical Sunday we will sing psalms set to music as well as classic and modern hymns.

We are intentional in making children welcome in our services, and kids of all ages sit together with their families. We have clip boards and children's sermon notes available to help older kids learn how to follow along with the message.

Fellowship Meal

After the service is over we encourage you to stick around for a potluck-style fellowship meal. Even if you are unable to bring something, you are welcome to join with others for food and fellowship, which lasts about an hour.

Second Session

Once the fellowship meal is over, we regather as a group for what we call Second Session. Here we have the opportunity to dive deeper into Biblical truth and engage with one another as we seek to better understand and apply these truths to our daily lives.
